These contents are written about the route to Yosemite National Park from
San Francisco Bay Area.
But I'm living Silicon Valley Area,
thus the south side route is written in detail.|
+ The roads access to Yosemite directly|
Next 5 roads are only the roads access to Yosemite directly.
Hetch Hetchy is branch of CA120, thus actually another 4 roads are the accessible roads to Yosemite National Park.
The Tioga Pass Gate on CA120 East is not popular for the people from Bay Area, so CA120 West, CA140 and CA41 are good for travelers from Bay Area.(cf. upper figure). The route to Yosemite N.P. depends on which highway you chose.
It is most generic way to use I-580 from San Francisco, but there is no road to east for the people living around San Jose area. Thus those travelers can chose I-580 from I-880 or I-680, or it is also effective to go south by US101 and go east by CA152. Next 4 routes are ganeric model routes I think.
+fastest but hard - CA120 main route
+quite easy but not fun - CA140 main route
+good scenic view - CA132 main route
+better for south of Yosemite - CA41main route
